| | DESCRIPTION | | |
Jardin d'Homps belonged to one of the oldest families in this region, who made their fortune from wines and the construction of the Canal du Midi. During the 'Bel Epoque' the house passed to a lady who counted the director of the school Beaux Arts de Toulouse among her lovers. This ensured her the best of his students to rennovate the house in the then current 'Art Nouveau' style. This included the staircase, the bevelled glass doors and pannelled library which remain to this day.The house looks onto its exotic garden with palms and olives, as well as an enclosed swimming pool, which guests may enjoy. The spacious and light rooms have been delicately decorated in tones of ivory, olive, fig and lavender, adding to the prevailing feeling of peace and tranquility. |
