| | DESCRIPTION | | |
"Le Vieil Aiglun" is an ancient village dating back to the 16th century. Perched high up at 2,540 ft in Haute Provence, it enjoys a remarkable position with stunning panoramic views onto Provence, the Alps and the Verdon area. The old village was abandoned by its inhabitants in the beginning of the 20th century. In 2002 we decided to buy the only buildings which were still fit for habitation and we converted them into a charming guest house and two "gîtes" (self catering houses) of great comfort (3 and 4 stars). "Le Vieil Aiglun" is located between Provence and the Alps, in a very quiet location, yet not far from a small town that provides all shops and restaurants. We serve dinner twice a week in a converted vaulted barn or, when weather permits, on the terrace with beautiful views onto the fields and the ancient roman church (illuminated at night). A large swimming pool (13 x 6 sqm) is at the disposal of our guests, as well as a large garden with lots of chairs, armchairs and hammocks, ideal to read a book or to enjoy the panoramic views. Welcome at Le Vieil Aiglun! |
