We have been coming to West Hill House for years. It's the quintessential New England Inn. Dotty and Eric are wonderful, the food is fabulous, and the inn itself is well apointed and relaxing. The attention to detail here is amazing. While there's tons of great things to do in the area, you might find it hard to leave the inn -- hang out and read by the wood stove, curl up with the cats, play games, or chat with the other interesting guests. We recommend it to all of our friends and come as often as we can!

Kudos to Dottie and Eric for creating a four star B and B. I have been to West Hill House three times in the last four years and can't wait 'til my next visit. The first time was with my husband and a few high school friends for a reunion. He had never been to a B and B and was somewhat reluctant. He was delighted with every aspect of the Inn. Food, accomocations, hospitality etc. He has become a convert! I have been there twice since with two girl friends. Last year in the middle of winter to enjoy the magnificent snow scenes and most recently this past October to view the fall foliage. I highly recommend The West Hill house in any season and every season!

This is an old farmhouse that has been made warm by the presence of Dotty and Eric. The food is great, the rooms charming, the wonderful living areas relaxing. It's a delight to visit each year and renew ourselves. I wish we could stay more often! But beware, diets are shot - the cookies alone (available all afternoon and evening) are worth the drive!

This was our first stay in a B&B so we were a little nervous. However Dotty and Eric made us feel at home as soon as we walk in the front door. Our oldest son and his wife sent us to the WestHill House and when we arrived we realized that we were in the heart of "Ski Country" we don't ski! But that was not a problem, Dotty gave us several routes, location for shopping and restaurants to eat at. we had a ball! The room was cozy and the jaccuzi was fun. The meals were delicious, I gained six pounds. Sitting by the fireplace with the other guests was very relaxing. We stayed over New Years so we were treated to a full cousre supper on New Years Eve with champagne at midnight. Vermont is a beautiful area, Lisa and I look forward to returning to the WestHill House on the "Harley" and tour so more of the area.

Dotty and Eric are two of the nicest and most hospitable people my girlfriend and I have ever dealt with. They truly put every possible effort into making sure that their guests feel comfortable and welcome. The location is peaceful and romantic. Dotty's cooking is absolutely incredible and worth the stay just for her breakfast. Most of the rooms have large jacuzzi tubs and a great country bed & breakfast charm. Absolutely the best accomidations we have ever had and we will be going back for sure. :)

If you are looking for a relaxing getaway; wonderful, knowledgeable, hospitable hosts; and fantastic cooking, West Hill House is the place for you. My mother in law (from Florida) found it on the Internet and recommended it to us as we were searching for honeymoon locations. My husband is from California and had never experienced peak leaf season in the North East. Our stay in the Four Poster Suite was beyond description. One morning, since all the guests of the Inn were either on their honeymoon like us, or celebrating an anniversary, Dotty and Eric had a spontaneous champagne breakfast for all of us! In fact, I cried when we left, we had that good of a time. Also, please don't misunderstand my rating of the parking. Our car was so loaded down with wedding gifts that we bottomed out of our special parking spot by our suite! DO NOT MISS THE WEST HILL HOUSE!

We have gone every year since 1992 and have enjoyed it so much that we make reservations immediately for the next year and the same room. We value Dotty Kyle and Eric Brattstrom as treasured friends. The accommodations are wonderful, the area quiet and the food memorable. My husband and I would recommend the West Hill House to anyone who will listen to us.

Eric & Dottie were terrific hosts. There are so many nice places to sit and relax on the grounds, the area was beautiful and the breakfasts were amazing. This was the best B&B we've ever stayed at.

Dotty & Eric are the most gracious hosts/innkeepers we have ever met! We have been going to West Hill House every year since 1992 and each year we book immediately for the next year! Their breakfasts are to die for--sticky buns! YUM!!!!! Afternoon cookies! YUM!!!!!!! Dinners! YUM!!!!!! You can't beat their hospitality! The people who work for them -- Eric and Jessie -- are also the friendliest and nicest people and very hard workers. We have been going for so long on the same weekend--Columbus Day Weekend--that we feel like we are coming home when we get there. Everyone should have this wonderful experience!

For our honeymoon, we chose to sample five bed & breakfast establishments in five days. We dubbed it the "B&B Sampler" because while we got a taste of what each B&B had to offer, we didn't stay long enough at any of them! Out of all the places we stayed, this was our favorite. Dottie & Eric were wonderful, the food was amazing, our room had every ammenity I could ask for and there is a sense of warmth coming from every corner of the place! We will definitely be back and we have already recommended it to several of our friends.

Eric,Dottie, Eric and the cats are wonderful hosts. We felt at home the minute we arrived. The food is superior, there was so much laughter and talking when you needed and when we needed quiet there were so many different places on the seven acres to get just that. I didn't realize how stressed out I was until I arrived at West Hill House and actually relaxed. We ended up making friends and exchanging addresses with people from the United Kingdom! We are also saving for another trip to West Hill House!
