This was an OUTSTANDING B B experience for the two of us. Marlene is a charming hostess and a superb cook! The rest of the family is delightful too. Marlene baked fresh bread just for us for breakfast and all other delicious foods were made from scratch. The house is exquisite, from the elegant entrance hall with the black and white marble floors, to the stunning French doors, high ceilings and marble mantles. Our room was very private, extremely comfortable, had an ENORMOUS PRIVATE bath and is decorated in the oriental style which is very soothing. Marlene directed us to a local eatery for a dinner which is the best restaurant meal I've ever eaten. The only change I would make in my visit is that I should have made it much longer. I'm returning in November for a longer stay!

Paris in Liege is an excellent Bed and Breakfast. It is outstanding when it comes to calm, comfort, friendliness, quality of food and service. The house on itself is in superior shape and very stylish. It is recently renovated and decorated with Japanese art. The hostess Marlene treats you as a mother but assures your privacy. This B B is a real recommendation if you don't bother walking 10 minutes or taking the bus to the city center. If you visit Liege, this is the place to stay!

This was such a great experience the first time that I made another visit. Marlene and her family are wonderful hosts. The breakfasts are delicious including fresh squeezed orange juice, yes, that's right made from real oranges! The big guest bedroom is on its own level in the lovely townhouse, so the privacy is extreme. The bathroom is huge, the size of most bedrooms! The whole home is super clean, beautiful, and decorated stylishly by Marlene who's a professional artist. There's even a charming, tiny garden to sit in if the weather's warm. I love staying here, and Liege is a pretty city which is fun for walking. One thing I like is that you don't bump into hordes of Americans with cameras and track shoes, it's mostly locals. The shopping district is nice, loads of interesting non touristy shops and close to Marlene's place. For quick meals there's a Greek take out place on the corner of the Rue Auguste Donnay. I'm visitng again at the end of this month, I feel so comfortable, pampered and relaxed here. Karen Kinnane

When me and my girlfriend arrived from Germany to Belgium it started rain so hard that I don't remember when it has rained so hard. I had preplanned to stay in "Paris In Liege". But I hadn't called to Marlene, so she didn't expect us to come for stay. Anyway we got lost in Liege and get an police escort to near her place. I finally fount the place and I called to Marlene (it was 10:30 pm). Explaned that we are two very WET motorcyclers from Finland on our way to Paris needing place to warmup. She took us to warm. What we found was Fireplace, big bed, big bath ... we were in heaven ... Marlene was our lifesavier !! and of course our trip savier ... we didn't get sick ... MANY THANX ....

This is such a delightful place to stay! It is in an interesting part of Liege and easily walkable to the town centre. We found the accommodation extremely comfortable, private and spotlessly clean, with a wonderfully spacious bathroom. The breakfasts were delicious - excellent and imaginative home cooking - and set us up for hours of walking round to see the sights. We have a particular interest in architecture and are great fans of art nouveau, so it was a real pleasure to stay in such a beautiful home. And our hosts were so helpful and hospitable ; they immediately made us feel at home - nothing was too much trouble. We very much enjoyed our half French half English conversations! We moved on with great reluctance, but with warm memories, and we would most certainly recommend Paris in Liege to others.

The art nouveau house is old and beautifully restored with high ceilings, exquisite molding, hardwood floors, and large windows. Breakfast in the formal dining room with views to the back garden coupled with the presentation is fit for nobility. The presentation includes different linens and dinnerware almost everyday. The breakfast food is a gourmet experience from simple to very traditional Liege. The guest bedroom and bath are very spacious with separate temperature controls and tastefully decorated. Everything is kept immaculately clean and orderly including the guest bedroom and bath. Best of all is the host family who are friendly, multilingual, cosmopolitan, educated, and very helpful. This bed and breakfast alone is worth a trip to Liege.
