The Stadtnest B&B was the highlight of our recent European tour for accommodations. We were housed in a comfortable,, spotless, beautifully renovated apartment in an Old Viennes Building. But the best part was the gracious and friendly reception of our charming hostess, Barbara, who was upstaged only by her delightful 2-year old daughter. Long after the glow of the city sites fades, we will remmeber this family with fondness and making our visit to Vienna special.

Perfect location. Very clean. Close to major shopping street, downtown attractions and metro. Safe neighborhood. Very good quality of food served at breakfast time. Access to kitchenette, separate entrance and internet access well apreciated. Host was very helpful with every aspect of our stay. Would definitely stay there again.

Our hostess was very helpful by providing us with lots of info via e-mail about Vienna prior to us arriving. The location of this B&B to the city transportation was perfect. I feel that if they would be allowed to have a glass elevator to the B&B it would be very helpful in allowing seniors easier access to this lovely accommodation. The roon was very large and airy and very clean. Our hostess shared her family with us once she felt that we welcomed this interaction but was very respectful of our privacy as well. Our hostess provided us with very clear directions/maps to find her location. Our hostess was able to converse in several languages which was helpful. One of the great things with staying in this B&B was that we got to see the inside of a home dwelling in Vienna which was of interest to us. Our hostess was very interested in knowing if we were having any problems getting around the city and was always willing to help in any way she could. She had compiled a book which was in the room with lists of places of interest with directions to get there; places to eat; places to get supplies if needed etc.We were very happy with our stay and would return.

Even now, sixth months later, I can almost smell the whole wheat rolls coming out the oven each morning. Along with organic eggs, cheese, fruit, homemade jams, cereal, milk, coffee, tea and much more our breakfast prepared us well for a day in Vienna. Our room was emaculate and our bed very comfortable. Barbara could answer or find the answer to any question we had, and was very interesting to visit with. We have highly recommended the B&B to friends and family.

Barbara offers the best of both worlds in her bed and breakfast: a welcoming, very comfortable and inviting home, and all the information and resources a traveler could hope for. Her experience as a traveler is clear in all the extras she considers -- nothing intrusive, but everything a visitor to a city could possibly want. The location is superb, both convenient to the rest of Vienna and pleasant in itself. The "Burma Room," which we had, was light and airy and very nicely furnished. Breakfast was generous and varied. And most importantly of all, our host was invariably generous and helped us with a number of unanticipated travel challenges (train reservations, illness). She truly went above and beyond. I wholeheartedly recommend Stadtnest.
