Steve Lodge is an engaging fellow who formerly ran a bed and breakfast in a castle in Scotland. He was extremely eager to please and fun to get to know. The marina area is bright and cheery, in contrast to accommodations in the Barrio Gotico or Plaza Catalunia, which tend to be dark because of the narrow streets. There is a lot to do in the marina area and it is a busy place with people strolling, restaurants, the aquarium, the shopping center on Rambla del Mar. The boat was great for a different type of stay than in a hotel. It was fun to come back from sightseeing and be able to sit on deck and enjoy the sun. The location was ideal because it was in the center of everything, a short stroll to the beach, to the cable car to the olympic village, to las Ramblas. It was fun to see all of the boats docked in the marina. There was a lot of night life in the area. Breakfasts were excellent; we filled out a form the night before specifying the time and the breakfast items we desired. Steve has only been operating the boat full-time as a bed and breakfast since March 2007 and it is becoming quite popular, so book early.

I can't think of a better way to visit Barcelona....We were met by Steve and wellcomed with a glass of cava on deck. The boat is a beautiful wooden skiff and gives you a sense of peace and relaxation. Just a short walk from the bustling streets of Barcelona and great tapas bars you get another sample of the good life! Coming back from a days sight seeing and sitting on deck by candlelight with a glass of wine. The accomodation is very comfortable and cosy with a lot of thought put into the little trimmings. You also have access to all the facilities the marina has to offer. An added bonus is the adventure of being on a boat but the luxury of having your own quarters and bathroom with your own bath! Mornings started in the best way possible feeding the fish that come right up to the boat and a delicious cooked breakfast on deck. I can't recommend this highly enough, with your own key and seperate living quarters you can come and go without worry and the whole ethos is one of tranquility and relaxation.

If your looking for something different, then this is it. We stayed there for a few days in May and walking up each morning to gorgeous sunshine on a old style sailing boat in a quiet harbour only a few hundred feet away from the centre on Barcelona. Definitely a hotel with a difference

I have stayed in dozens of B&B's in several countries and this stands out as my most desired to return to. It is by far the most unique B&B I've stayed in. Also, it ranks as one of my top three for hospitality and flexibility. Whatever you do, don't miss this Barcelona treasure! Mitch Peterson, Portland, Oregon, USA

It ticked all the boxes for an unusual place to stay and yet was bang in the city centre. Steven was a thoughtful, discreet host and it worked perfectly as a base for us - myself and my 17 year old daughter - for a happy late season short break.

It's certainly different. The cabin is cosy and homely. Whilst it was just about warm enough to sit out for breakfast, we were told that the weather was the coldest yet during the time of our stay. Very convenient location, plenty of restaurants and great access to all amenities.

I would highly recommend this fantastic and unusual B&B accommodation. A perfect setting in the marina, near the beach and interesting parts of the city, but also importantly very near to the train station which delivered us from the airport (only a 5 minute walk!). The hosts were very friendly and helpful and we felt very at home on the boat, without intruding on each other's space at all. Breakfast was wonderful; what could be better than sitting in the morning sunshine in the peaceful marina eating a delicious breakfast and enjoying a perfect cup of coffee? The only (very small) comment would be a warning that there was a bit of loud creaking in more windy weather, but this didnt affect us, as we were exhausted after long days of exploring and slept like logs in the wonderfully cosy cabin! I couldnt think of a better place to spend a few nights B&B in the middle of a city - give it a try and you wont be disappointed!

The Willowmoon offers wonderful accommodation and an engaging host. Located in the heart of Barcelona, but in the serene location of the old port, the boat was a haven of comfort and relaxation after many busy city days and nights! All in all, a unique experience - one that I would definitely repeat and one that I have already recommended to friends.

One of the most remarkable memories of my travels through Spain is enjoying the calm, evening oceanside view of Barcelona with drink in hand while sitting on the deck of my B&B. This is truly a unique and remarkable experience. The hosts were extremely hospitable and I can not wait to return.

Willowmoon is the perfect place to stay, where you can get away from the hustle and bustle of the city wihtout having to actually leave the city centre itself. Lovewly to sit on deck in the sunshine and put the world to rights over a drink with Steve!
