We stayed for three nights in July 2007. The Patio is situated a bit outside the very centre, but with the subway you can reach it in 15 minutes easily. Elizabeth and her husband are very friendly, accomodating and helpful with informations about the city. The patio itself is great, especially tzhe roofgarden, where you sit in open air and witrh no city noise to handle. One thing we found a little discomforting though. One of the two guest rooms has no outside window, it can therefore get very warm in summer and it is very dark. Aside from thet we loved it!

We stayed at this lovely B&B for 4 nights during our first visit to Barcelona. What a warm welcome we received from Liz and Tony! We truly recommend this sweet little B&B to everybody who want to stay in the centre of Barcelona, but out of the touristic-area. Especially the roofterrace was very nice to have a last cup of tea (or Sangria, haha), while sharing the couch with Kitty the cat! Astrid & Freddy from Amsterdam

Liz is a wonderful innkeeper/guide of Barcelona giving ideas based on guest's interests. The inn is tastefully decorated with two rooms, a patio and a roof deck to relax after touring during the day. We had a very enjoyable stay and found the location excellent to touring all areas of Barcelona. The inn is close to the Sants train station for local day trips. Liz and Tony are not only very welcoming but also a gold mine of information about Barcelona and helped us with all kinds of questions!

Stayed here with a couple of friends for 5 nights and I would certainly recommend it to anyone. Great accommodation at an affordable price in beautiful, quiet surroundings within walking distance of Plaza Catalunya and the Ramblas. There's a tube station across the street which is good if you are arriving by train from the airport. We did it the lazy way, by taxi from Sants train station which only took 5 minutes. The owner Elizabeth or Liz as she prefers to be called is a wealth of information and thanks to her we found some great restaurants and clubs! All in all it was like home from home, those breakfasts were delicious. A good, clean, comfortable and spacious place to stay where the hospitality is second to none with Liz's offer of Brandy, Sherry and even Cava making our stay even better. It's thumbs up to Liz the hostess with the mostess from the Belfast group!! We'll be back again!

This is a lovely quite home base to explore Barcelona. Many hotels in the center are exceptionally noisy- so this is a nice change. I stay here when I go to BCN and use the metro go go anywhere I would like. Thre is an out door garden to relax as well as a lovely lounge.

I just came back from a week in Barcelona where I stayed at the Patio. It is one of the best bed and breakfasts I have stayed at. I’m a light sleeper so was amazed that the Patio could be so close to the centre of Barcelona and yet so quiet. It is a lovely, tranquil spot in a Barcelona neighbourhood that is not overrun with tourists. There are lots of good restaurants and shops within walking distance. The Passeig de Gracia is a pleasant 15 minute stroll from the B&B or a short hop on the metro which stops just across from the B & B. Liz is the wonderful, warm owner of the B&B. She had lots of suggestions of things to see and do and great places to eat. I was travelling on my own so really appreciated the personal touches at the Patio. I would highly recommend a stay here and would back in a flash, if it wasn’t a 15 hour flight from Western Canada.

I came from Uruguay and found myself in a wonderful, quiet (I need silence to sleep) house in a very centric area, Metro at the door, very nice attention from Liz, very nice breakfast. I'd love to repeat soon! Very recommendable!!
