Active vacations are a great way to see the sights of your chosen destination and while not all of us are blessed to live in places of great natural beauty, we can count on IBBP’s bed and breakfasts to be located where it is most scenic. And if, after all that walking and golfing, your legs and shoulders feel tight, many of our accommodations spoil guests with onsite spa facilities! The Red Horse Inn
Rest your eyes and revive your spirit when you stay at the Red Horse Inn in Landrum, South Carolina. The town is lined with delightful stores, gift shops and restaurants, offers 2 championship golf course and the area is known for its excellent hiking, fishing and waterfalls, right off Scenic Highway 11. This exquisite inn is nestled in the foothills of the famed Blue Ridge Mountains with rolling hills, meadows, lakes, waterfalls and lovely points of interest around every corner. The award-wining inn features six romantic cottages set on 190 acres. Each cottage is exquisitely furnished and decorated and offers a kitchen, bedroom with queen sized bed, bath (3 with whirlpools, two with outdoor hot tubs), living room with fireplace, decks or patios, color TV/DVD and AC. The main inn has 6 luxurious rooms, all with fireplaces and whirlpool tubs. Five of the inn rooms have king sized beds, the other a queen. All of the cottages are private, peaceful, and provide beautiful views. If you are in the mood for France (who isn’t?), well, we have the perfect destination for you. Forget mass tourism, traffic and pollution. In the heart of the green Provence, a region defined by its rivers, green hills with oak forests, vineyards and quaint villages, travelers will fall under the spell of the peaceful and sunny landscapes surrounding Une Campagne en Provence. Situated on 170 hectares, this special, historic, farming resort offers a choice of three apartments for four, a studio for two as well as a number of rooms, all decorated with typical Provencial ambiance. The inn is located near the village of Bras, only 45 minutes from the French Riviera, the Verdon Canyon and Aix-en Provence. The children friendly B & B offers a large swimming pool, rooms for seminars and workshops, a home-cinema, vast gardens, walking or jogging tracks in the woods, horseback riding and French Provence speciality cooking classes.

Inn at Ellis River Annual Cookie Tour Cookie
Submitted by Lyn Norris-Baker and Frank Baker, Innkeepers of the Inn at Ellis River in Jackson, New Hampshire, United States
2½ cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt
1 cup unsalted butter
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup light brown sugar
2 eggs
1 ½ teaspoons Boyajian pure orange oil
1 ½ cups Ghirardelli Double Chocolate chocolate chips
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix together flour, baking soda and salt with a wire whisk and set aside. Cream butter and sugars together well, scraping sides of bowl as needed. Add eggs and orange oil and beat on medium speed until light and fluffy. Add flour mixture gradually, blending at low speed just until combined. Carefully mix in chocolate chips. Drop by rounded tablespoons full 2 inches apart onto parchment lined cookie sheet. Bake 14-16 minutes until cookies are slightly browned around the edges. Using a spatula, transfer cookies to a cooking rack.
