The Winnetu Oceanside Resort (opened in the year 2000) is the only property directly at spectacular South Beach on the magical island of Martha's Vineyard and just a short water-taxi, bicycle or car ride to the center of Edgartown. Our Resort received the "Best Hotel on Martha's Vineyard" award from Boston Magazine in their August 2006 issue, as well as the "#1 Family Resort in the Northeast" from Child Magazine in March 2006. The Winnetu is a 55-minute ferry ride from New Bedford, Mass., a 45-minute ferry ride from Cape Cod, 70 miles from Boston, and convenient to Cape Cod, Nantucket Island, Maine, and Newport, Rhode Island. Set on 11 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds (complete with dunes, a pond, and waterfall), the Winnetu provides the "quintessential Martha's Vineyard experience" to our guests.
