| | DESCRIPTION | | |
Circa 1922. Not far from the center of town at the end of a quiet road, pass through the massive front gates to enter the elegant adobe world of Mabel Dodge Luhan House in Taos, New Mexico. This historic three-story home boasts herringbone vigas, traditional arched doorways, carved pillars and kiva fireplaces with welcoming hearths. Relax on the patio with a tree-lined acequia and stunning panoramic views. Beverages are available at the coffee bar. More than a B&B, artistic retreats and personal growth workshops are popularly held here. Most of the guest bedrooms feature fireplaces and some have semi-private patios. The third-floor Solarium has incredible Sacred Mountain vistas. Linger over a gourmet breakfast each morning. |
