Recipe : Mainstay's Cran-Orange Souffle' |

1 cup cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup orange juice
Zest of one large orange
8 large baked croissants
8 eggs
2 cups half anf half cream
3/4 cup craisins
Combine the cream cheese, butter, maple syrup, orange juice and zest in a processor until mixed.
Cut each croissant into 3 pieces. Open croissant to put filling inside and scatter small sandwiches into a 9x13 inch pan. ( Any remaining filling you can spread on top,)
In a large bowl, beat the eggs, cream and craisins. Pour the egg mixture over the croissants, cover and refrigerate overnight.
In the morning, preheat oven to 350degrees. Remove souffle' from fridge, uncover and let set for at least 10 minutes.
Bake for 45 minutes or until golden.
Serve with warmed maple syrup.
Serves 10 people
