All credit card transaction must be made by
the cardholder or with the cardholders permission (in the latter case an
email, fax or letter from the card holder authorising the transaction is

Credit card transactions with a Visa or Mastercard issued outside the UK
will be made in the issuing country's currency using the DCC (direct
currency change) system. Please let us know if you wish to be charged in
Pounds Sterling.
Cancellation
policy
4 days notice is required for cancellations or a charge of the first night's stay
is payable. We reserve the right to charge a handling
fee of £5.00 for any cancellations that require a credit card refund payment.
Check in is after 1pm

Thank you for choosing to book with Barry House. We look forward to
welcoming you. By making this booking you are entering an agreement with
us. Please read our terms and conditions of booking below.
Prices
The price of the accommodation includes the use of the following:
Electricity, linen, towels, cleaning, hot water, central heating.
Rates are per room per night and include a English Breakfast, Service
and 17.5% VAT (tax)
Bookings
A deposit equal to the first nights stay is required to make a room
booking. To book with a credit card - the card number, expiry date and
billing address must be provided. If the guest name is different to the
credit card holder written permission is required (by email, fax or
letter) from the card holder to book the room.
Booking Acceptance and Confirmation
A booking is confirmed after we charge or receive a deposit or send
a confirmation by post, email or fax. By making your booking, our
agreement is a legal contract.
Cancellation and Insurance
If you wish to cancel your reservation you must inform us 4 days in advance
of the beginning of your booking. If you have paid a deposit we will
refund it (less an administration fee of £10-00)
If you do not provide 4 days notice of cancellation or do not arrive as
stated (no show) you are liable to pay for the first night’s stay.
To insure against unexpected cancellations we would recommend that you
take out cancellation insurance to cover this cost. This may be also be
covered in some holiday insurance products.
Non-availability of Accommodation
We would only cancel your holiday if your accommodation was
unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would however attempt to
offer you alternative accommodation. If this was not possible, or
unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you for the
holiday. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.
Arrival
Your accommodation will be available to you from 1 pm on the day of
arrival, unless otherwise arranged. We may not be able to accommodate
you if you arrive earlier than the agreed time as we will be busy
preparing your rooms.
Late arrival procedure
Please ensure you contact us no later than 6pm to let us know if you
will be arriving late.
Departure
Please be ready to leave the accommodation by 10.30am on the day of
departure, unless otherwise arranged. We will provide you with an
invoice, payable on departure for any additional services you may have
used during your stay.
Pets
Sorry, we do not allow pets at this property.
Acceptance of Children
We welcome children of all ages.
Non Smoking Premises
Barry House is a non-smoking building. It is against the law to
smoke in the premises and offenders could be reported to the relevant
authority. If there is evidence of smoking in the guest rooms, we
reserve the right to charge a fee equivalent to one night's stay so that
the room may be cleaned and aired before the next guest.
Damages and Breakages
Please take care when staying in our property. You are responsible
and liable for any breakages or damages, which you cause, to the
accommodation or its contents. All we ask is that you report any
incidents as they occur. We do not normally charge for minor breakages,
but we may send you an invoice for repair or making good if the damage
or breakage is significant, and we may make an additional charge of £50
if you did not report this.
Liability
We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any
member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be
caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors
whilst acting in the course of employment.
Privacy Policy
Any data collected during the course of this booking will be stored on
our computer(s). With your permission we may from time to time contact
you about promotions and offers. We will not share your details with any
third party.
The management reserves the right to change these terms or rates at
short notice.
